Middle School Program

The GATE Middle School Program offers enrichment classes for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. This curriculum develops skills toward independent study outlined in the GATE program. These areas include creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, listening, observing, affective training, note taking, interviewing, analyzing, community resources and communication techniques. In this type of curriculum, students encounter real life problem solving and have personal contacts with experts in the field. Field trips and guest speakers are important elements in this program.
