Carbullido Elementary
Mila is the Gifted and Talented Education teacher at B.P. Carbullido Elementary School in Barrigada, Guam, a position she has held since 1997. She has been teaching at the same school since 1976. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at the Far Eastern University in Manila, Phillipines and has taken units towards a Master's Degree in Language and Literacy at the University of Guam. She is an adjunct faculty member of UOG's College of Arts and Sciences, teaching Basic and Intermediate Tagalog Language classes. She has been involved in numerous curriculum design and writing projects and has been a workshop presenter for the Guam Department of Education and the Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL). Mila is actively involved in community organizations; a past president of the Guamerica Lions Club, presently the Public Relations Officer of the Filipino Community of Guam and PRO of the Nueva Ecija Family Association of Guam. She is married to Renato B. Alcazaren. They have two daughters and three granddaughters.
